Volunteer Position Descriptions

Caddie

MUST BE ABLE TO WALK 18 HOLES while pushing a cart bag or carrying a golf bag for all 3 days of the Championship plus the Tuesday practice round.  Mandatory training session for first-time caddies will be held the week prior to the Championship.  Volunteers who do not get a bag will be transferred to the Marshall/Spotter team the week before the Championship.

Cart Scoring

Follow a group and record each player’s score throughout round​

​

Course Shuttle

Drive cart on course to shuttle players between hilly areas

​

Driving Range

Ensure players have adequate supply of balls, rake practice bunker, gather balls from chipping area, assist with caddie bibs and player snack provisioning

​

Event Operations

Set up and dismantle signage, flags, coolers on course, supply distribution to various venues prior to the Championship. IMPORTANT: This team has a unique work schedule.  Event Operations Team works Thursday through Saturday, May 7-9 and at the conclusion of play on Saturday, May 16.  1 team member per day will be on site May 14-16 to assist as needs arise.  Need to be able to carry up to 30 pounds, use a hammer for sign and canopy installation, climb stairs​


Food & Beverage

Distribute Food and Water to Volunteers Team around Course

 

Guest Services/Volunteer Tent Manager

Ticket check-in, Directions for fans, Misc Customer Service, Manage Volunteer Tent Food and Beverage

Marshal

Tee Box Shot Direction, Green side noise control, Manage guest movement at critical areas around the course

​

On Course Supply

Replenish Water/Ice on Course; Empty Garbage Cans around Course; Deliver beverages to Hospitality Venues; Replenish paper goods around the course

 

Real Time Scoring

Live update of scores from on course scoring to LPGA and Leaderboards

 

Scoring Tent

Accept score cards from players and verify addition is correct

 

Spotter

Positioned on a hole to assist players in locating errant shots

Standard Bearer

This Team Only Works Championship Saturday.  You will be assigned to your 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice for Thursday and Friday.  Standard Bearers carry the scoring standard and follow the final groups.  Must be able to walk all 18 holes

Transportation Services

Variety of transportation services including player shuttle, guest shuttle and volunteer shuttle

​

VIP Hospitality

Hosts our VIP Guests at the 9/18 green. Verify badges, assist with food/beverage, beer sales inside VIP and at the food truck area (Volunteers selling beer will need to complete an online certification.  You will be reimbursed for the course fee upon receipt of certificate)
